Twenty-Four Life Lessons

:: family is everything.
:: chocolate can turn any bad moment into a fantastic one.
:: your parents were and still are right.
:: riding your bicycle with your family on a warm summer evening is better than anything you could ever do with your friends.
:: you won't actually die if you have to get up in front of a group of people to talk/sing/perform. you may, however, feel as though you are going to throw up before, during and after.
:: your relationship with your dad can grow over a midnight bowl of cereal.
:: dogs really are man's best friend and when you lose one, you promise yourself you will never get another dog again because it hurts so much.  but then you do and fall in love all over again.
:: finding "the one" is as simple as finding your best friend.
:: stay in touch with your friends and family.  there are too many memories that can be lost otherwise.
:: some of the best conversations take place while heads are on their pillows.
:: you may think you know best, but you usually don't.
:: it is better to have loved and lost, then to have never loved at all.
:: service benefits both the party being served and the party doing the serving.  it's a win/win.  do it often.
:: every minute of everyday counts, time is a gift and it's important to use it wisely.
:: you will probably hate that one class that pushes you harder than ever before, but years later it will be that one class that you remember and learned the most from.
:: the purpose of this life is to gain experience and to progress, whether you like it or not!
:: you learn a lot more from the bad experiences than you do the good ones.
:: you may never understand the love of your mother until you are one yourself.
:: when you lose a child, you also lose a piece of your heart.
:: learn to love yourself, otherwise it will be harder for others to love you as well.
:: strength comes when you decide not to give up when trials come your way.
:: toddlers know and understand more than you think.
:: God really does know you individually and loves you.
:: life is what you make it, it's best to make the most of it, even though it takes extra effort to do so.
